Modulight live at Church Of Sound #70
A Live Cosmic Journey
This 3rd album by electronic duo Modulight is their most cosmic journey yet. A trip from star to star, with sounds that evoke events along the way, from ship propulsion systems to evolving stellar vistas.

background
When they listened back to the best of their recent live recordings Chris Conway & Jez Creek were aware that electronic music and space themes are so often linked, even though sound does not move in a vacuum.

But the more they listened, they could not avoid the strong feeling of space travel. Conway was reminded of stories of huge Generational Starships that travel for thousands of years, with travellers that know that only their descendants will arrive at their chosen destination.

Return To Acamar
is a live album, which includes an amazing 30 minute final track recorded at the Church Of Sound, Nottingham, UK. The first 3 tracks were recorded at 3 Quadelectronic events in Leicester, UK.

1, 2, 3 - Quadelectronic 149, 147, 143 - Quad Studios, Leicester, UK.
4 - Church Of Sound #70 - JT Soar, Nottingham, UK.

Modulight
Chris Conway and Jez Creek have been regulars at the monthly Quadelectronic improvised electronic session in Leicester UK for many years, and it's lockdown equivalent the United Isolation Ensemble, and at the Church Of Sound in Nottingham.
The sound of Chris Conway's theremin and effects and treated acoustic sounds blend perfectly with the deep sounds of Jez Creek's banks of synthesizers and effects, creating a unique Modulight sound.

Chris Conway has recorded many ambient albums solo, and as part of ambient groups Memory Wire, and Audible Light and electronic groups Continuum, The Planet Scanners, and Escape Route. He established, and has run the monthly Quadelectronic improvised electronic events for 15 years.

Jez Creek has travelled the world playing his electronic music solo under the name Modulator ESP, and in many collaborations, currently including Booth & Creek, Infinity Curve, Onewayness & Modulator ESP, Blue Lily Commission, Meson, & Andromeda Phase. He also runs The Church Of Sound venue in Nottingham and assists at the Awakenings live concert series in Rugely.
